The PCIL Beowulf Cluster
(Click here to see what the cluster has been up to)
| The beowulf cluster is made up of 13 nodes, each node being an individual computer. The cluster has one machine connected to the outside network. The name of this machine is head. You can ssh into the cluster through the head node at 128.220.14.52 or cluster.ece.jhu.edu. Below is a diagram of the cluster's network configuration. |
| Once logged into the head node, you can log into any other node without being prompted for a password. Just type "ssh nodeX" or "ssh head". The /home/ directory is physically located on the head node and shared via NFS to the other nodes. Each node is running Fedora Core 5 and several versions of mpi. LAM/MPI 7.1.2 and MPICH 1.2.7 and OPENMPI 1.1.1. All are located in the /opt directory of each node. |
