Welcome to the Graduate Academics page for the ECE Department. Graduate studies in the Electrical and Computer Engineering department is oriented toward the doctorate, with emphasis on scholarship and research rather than formal course work. In addition a Master of Science in Engineering degree program is offered. Although graduate students in the department have usually majored in electrical engineering or computer engineering as undergraduates, it is not uncommon to find graduate students in the program who have majored in mathematics, physics, computer science, or other fields closely related to electrical and computer engineering. A very comprehensive overview of the Graduate program and some of the research that is being undertaken currently is given by the Graduate Studies Brochure.
For more general graduate studies information, Engineering Advising has put together a comprehensive page which can be found here: Graduate Programs and Advising
