Outcomes and Assessments
(a) The ability to apply knowledge of mathematics, science
and engineering is assessed on two mid-term exams,
ten homeworks, and a final exam.
(c) The ability to design a system, component or process to meet desired
needs is assessed by grading the ten homeworks, many of which
require the synthesis of either a combinational or sequential circuit.
(g) The ability to communicate effectively is assessed via the use
of the homeworks, the two midterms and the final exam.
(i) The recognition of the need for, and an ability
to engage in life-long learning is demonstrated in class
with the presentation of new problems in science and engineering
that may only be solved by using new techniques.
(k) The ability to use the techniques, skills, and
modern engineering tools necessary
for engineering practice is assessed by partly grading the homeworks,
project, and final for organization and presentation.
