Outcomes and Assessments

(a) The ability to apply knowledge of mathematics, science and engineering is assessed on two mid-term exams, ten homeworks, and a final exam.

(c) The ability to design a system, component or process to meet desired needs is assessed by grading the ten homeworks, many of which require the synthesis of either a combinational or sequential circuit.

(g) The ability to communicate effectively is assessed via the use of the homeworks, the two midterms and the final exam.

(i) The recognition of the need for, and an ability to engage in life-long learning is demonstrated in class with the presentation of new problems in science and engineering that may only be solved by using new techniques.

(k) The ability to use the techniques, skills, and modern engineering tools necessary for engineering practice is assessed by partly grading the homeworks, project, and final for organization and presentation.
