SRPL Facilities                          

 

SRPL currently consists of two software radio workstations comprising:

  • GNU Radio software running under Xubuntu Linux
  • The GNU Radio Companion (GRC), an intuitive GUI that eases the use of GNU Radio
  • The "Universal Software Radio Peripheral" (USRP) from Ettus Research LLC
  • USRP receiver modules that cover
    • 2-300 MHz
    • 50-870 MHz
    • 800-2400 MHz
    • Wi-fi (two)
  • USRP transmitter module covering
    • 2-200 MHz

To assist with prototype testing and validation, SRPL also has:

  • A general coverage (100s of kHz to 30 MHz) communications receiver
  • A multi-channel VHF amateur radio scanner
